I tried the Hydro Rx Hydro Gel Face Masks and fell for the cooling effect. You place these masks in the refrigerator for 15 minutes prior to application, and they bind water to the skin to restore hydration while leaving skin feeling smooth.
I spoke with Melanie Moreno, esthetics trainer for Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas, about the new BABOR products.
Can you tell me about the collaboration with BABOR? Is this new for Mario Tricoci? Will the facials adopt some of these products?

What are a few things that people living in Chicago can do to protect their skin?
Let’s face it, here in Chicago, we are busy people. There’s a lot of hustle and bustle, and people are always on the go. Our skin can suffer because of a number of personal and environmental influences. Pollution and free radicals rob our skin of nutrients on a daily basis; this is why detoxification is so important. Getting your facial treatments is great to do monthly, along with great home care. Many BABOR formulations include anti-oxidants that help protect and replenish your skin. We recommend a complete detox regime consisting of a great cleanser such as DOCTOR BABOR Detox Lipo Cleanser, as well as effective products to replenish the nutrients that have been depleted from your skin. Your licensed esthetician will accelerate the results that you want to see with monthly visits. In an effort to understand budget concerns, we have made it easier for our guests to come in for their treatments here at Mario Tricoci. We have what’s called our Mario Plus Membership. Enrollment is a one-time fee of $50, then as a member, you get $25 off every facial, massage, and body treatment for a whole year. This makes it much more affordable.
If that’s still not appropriate for your budget, you can opt for a complete skin care regime and come in quarterly for your facials. I would also recommend incorporating an exfoliant to your routine. Our DOCTOR BABOR AHA 10+10 Peeling Gel can further your results, allowing for superior product penetration and help reveal beautiful new skin in the comfort of your own home.
