Life Span logo launch

Have a glass of wine or a local craft beer with Life Span as we celebrate our new look and show our new film! The free Sept. 27 celebration, hosted by Jones Day, is intended to inspire our community to remember that while the current political climate feels overwhelming, Life Span continues to fight harder for the rights of survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Life Span is launching a new logo, website and short film and has recently more than tripled the size of our immigration project. At Life Span, we believe that safety is a human right.

“This current cultural climate has really put into perspective how far we’ve come in the past 10 years,” says Kris Krafka, sexual assault paralegal at Life Span. “When we get knocked down, we just have to get back up and fight 10 times harder. Now, more than ever, we must stand together and unite to save the basic human rights we’ve fought so hard for. Join us in this fight!”

We have fabulous raffle prizes, a variety of wines, beer from Revolution Brewery and Lagunitas, and a spread of hors d’oeuvres from a number of local restaurants, including Broken English Taco Pub, Hel’s Kitchen Catering and Twisted Eggroll.

Thank you to our sponsors: JP Morgan Chase, Jones Day Chicago, ION Creative, LaPointe Law Firm, Law Offices of Robert Ahlegren and Associates, Lee Hecht Harrison, MB Financial, Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Rebellious Magazine.

Life Span’s mission is to empower survivors of domestic and sexual violence to “demand safety as a human right through client-centered services and leads social change through accountability, community engagement and systemic advocacy.”
