The summer concert calendar is really heating up this month. From one of the biggest music festivals in the entire world to a once-in-a-lifetime concert-going experience, here’s a look at some of the amazing events happening in and around Chicago this July.

Lollapalooza – Grant Park – July 30 – Aug. 2

Lollapalooza is taking over Grant Park on July 31 through Aug. 2. With headliners including Charli xcx, Lorde, Olivia Dean, and more, as well as a bevy of Rebellious Magazine favorites like Wet Leg, Wolf Alice, Amber Mark, and Suki Waterhouse, the fest promises four full-days of amazing music right in the heart of the city.

Sarah McLachlan – Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island – July 18

Sarah McLachlan is back with a another round of her beautiful Better Broken Tour, which we were lucky enough to catch last November. This time, the singer-songwriter will be joined by the brilliant Americana artist Allison Russell so fans will get two amazing sets during one great night at Northerly Island on July 18.

Karol G – Soldier Field – July 24 & 25

It doesn’t get much bigger than this. Global superstar Karol G is headlining Soldier Field for a pair of shows on July 24 and 25. Karol G is known to put on a spectacular performance so make sure to make it out one of these nights.

St. Vincent with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra – Ravinia – July 25

For what very well may be a once-in-a-lifetime performance, St. Vincent is teaming up with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, for a very special concert at Ravinia on July 25. The setlist is said to include a variety of St. Vincent’s songs reimagined to feature full orchestral arrangements. And, Grammy Award-winning artist Arooj Aftab will be opening the show so be sure to get there early.

Dulcé Sloan – Zanies Chicago – July 17 & 18

Comedian Dulcé Sloan will be performing a total of four shows during her two-night run at Zanies in Chicago on July 17 and 18. The Emmy Award-winner is known for finding the funny in everything from her personal relationships to the absurdities of society. This show is highly recommended if you are looking to laugh the night away.

Elsewhere in July, Winona Fighter, Honey Revenge and more will be performing at the House of Blues on July 16 as part of Idobi Radio Summer School. Ama and Ella Mai are set to take the stage at The Salt Shed on July 10 and Evanescence will be rocking Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre on July 8. And Lollapalooza also means a slew of amazing aftershows from artists like Paris Paloma (Metro, 7/28), Wet Leg (The Vic, 7/29), Suki Waterhouse (House of Blues, 7/30), and many more.
