When done right, music can transport listeners to another dimension. This is exactly what occurred during Not For Radio’s gorgeous – and completely sold-out – Official Lollapalooza Aftershow at Metro in Chicago on July 30.
Inside the walls of the packed venue, members of the audience found themselves gently guided into a heavenly plane of existence by Not For Radio – the solo project of María Zardoya of The Marías. The show began the same way Not For Radio’s debut album Melt does, with the gorgeously seductive “Puddles,” the beauty of the moment moving many fans to tears. Other Melt standouts like “Moment” and “Magnet” soon followed increasing the already immaculate vibes.
As perfect as this performance was, an even bigger stage awaited Zardoya as Not For Radio was still slated to close-out the Allianz Stage at Lollapalooza in Grant Park the following evening, Friday, July 31. The set promises to be a stand-out and the perfect conclusion to a schedule that includes The Army, The Navy, Claire Rosinkranz, Skye Newman, and Suki Waterhouse all performing on that very stage throughout the day.
