Brandi Carlile Summerfest

Summerfest – which is known as “The World’s Largest Music Festival” – hosts hundreds of acts throughout its grounds and at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. The Milwaukee music festival, which takes place June 28 – July 2 & July 4-July 9, gives Chicago concert fans the perfect excuse to get out of town for a few days and get lost in a flurry of amazing live performances. Here’s a look at just a few of the Rebelle acts we are looking forward to seeing at this year’s event.

Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile (above) is a little bit country and a whole lot of rock and roll. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter redefined alternative country with her 2015 release, “The Firewatcher’s Daughter,” and, on stage, she is somehow able to convey feelings of power and vulnerability simultaneously. Don’t miss her June 30 set at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, where she will be opening up for the great Paul Simon.

Sheryl Crow

Speaking of alt-country goddesses, Sheryl Crow will be playing the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on July 9 in conjunction with Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival. From her fun-loving tracks like “Soak Up the Sun” to heartbreakers like “Strong Enough,” Crow’s perfectly-crafted set-lists always leave fans cheering.

Tegan & Sara

If you are looking for a non-stop party to help you dance your relationship woes away, head over to Tegan & Sara’s 10 p.m. performance on July 6 at the Miller Lite Oasis Stage. The sisters Quin always conjure one of the biggest crowds at any festival, so get there early to reserve a good spot for this must-see show.

PVRIS

PVRIS Summerfest
If you haven’t yet seen PVRIS (above) – go see them now! The Massachusetts rockers have taken the post-hardcore scene by storm, and they now have their sights set on rock superstardom. Frontwoman Lyndsey Gunnulfsen commands the stage with her magnetic presence and rich vocals. Check them out at 8:30 p.m. at the Uline Warehouse Stage on July 4.

Pink

Long before she took to the sky with breathtaking acrobatics, Pink already had a reputation for being one of the best touring performers in the world. With hits like “There You Go,” “Get the Party Started,” “So What” and so many more, Pink’s performances are crowd-pleasing, dynamic, one-of-a-kind and unforgettable. She’s headlining the American Family Insurance Amphitheater stage on July 2 – Be there!

Summerfest takes place at Milwaukee’s Henry Maier Festival Park on June 28 – July 2 & July 4 – July 9. Other notable performers include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Margo Price, The Band Perry, Joss Stone and more. Click here to pick up tickets and head over to Summerfest.com to view the full lineup.
